Peace On Earth

This year has been one of upheaval, of unkind words, of pain, and of sorrow. My prayer is that people would stop hating each other and start caring about one another again. It's the only way we will survive this life.

About this: I created the girl in Daz Studio, the back ground is from Martha Van Eck, and the ice brushes are from my personal stash. The poem was written by me.

Gratitude

This week the challenge for the Art Journal Caravan was to think about what we're thankful for. It didn't take me long to put a list together, there is so much in my life that I feel truly blessed. My list was too long for a page, however, so I narrowed it down a bit.  I find that when I'm down or start to feel overwhelmed, just reminding myself of what I'm thankful for really changes my attitude. 

About this page:  The sketch is by me, using my Wacom tablet and Photoshop CC 2015.5 then I used elements from various kits I've purchased from ScrapbookGraphics and E-Scape And Scrap for the layout.

About artwork: Created using various elements from itKuPiLLi Imagenerium's digital kits, as well as textures, brushes and elements from my personal collection. The crackle effect was created both by brushes and by cracked textures using many different blending modes in Photoshop CC 2015.

When Darkness Closes In

It's been a while since I've updated, and for that I apologize. Work has kept me extremely busy these past few months and it looks to just get busier from here on out. Regardless, I will try to do better about updating this blog of mine.

The above image is titled "When Darkness Closes In" and was created yesterday. The woman is a character I sculpted and rendered in Daz Studio 4.9. I enjoy creating my own models, it takes the worry out of whether someone is OK with you using them in your artwork.
