Challenge 4 for My Photo Artistic Life. Photos used in this were taken at Buffalo Lake in MN.

My Photo Artistic Life Challenge 3

For this challenge a still life photo of every day objects was required, with the use of various textures and edge effects from the course. This is what I came up with.

First Snow

Spiraling through the air

A single snowflake

Dances on the wind

So graceful in its descent

Unique from all others

Its crystal beauty shimmers

Against a dark sky

It fights against gravity

Pulling it to the ground

Where its uniqueness will fade

Into a sparkling field of white.

Words

Words come from deep within

Fighting to be let out

My hands hover over the keyboard

Afraid to let them go

Holding onto them is easier

Than risking rejection

Slowly they are released

Words of love, passion or pain

Then easily deleted

With the push of a button

Pulling them back inside

To where they are safe

Deep within my mind

Hidden and protected

By this wall of doubt I’ve erected.
