Midsummer's Eve Blog Hop: Day 3

As this is the final day of the Blog Hop, I decided to post 3 pictures. The first was created just for this Blog Hop.  The title of this piece is "Midsummer Night's Magic"

Done in Photoshop CS3.
Model is Jessica from faestock at deviantArt
Background is by Melkor at Renderosity
Faerie brushes are by RedHeadStock at deviantArt
Fairy dust and star dust brushes by Patlash at Renderosity

The next picture I'm posting was created in March, when it was still snowing and terribly cold here. I was having a hard time dealing with the lack of sun and decided to create something a bit on the "different" side.  The result is this piece, which I think goes well with the challenge.
"The Fawne"

The character of the Fawne was rendered in Daz Studio 4.5 Pro, shadows and lighting  painted in Photoshop CS3, all post work and composition done in Photoshop CS3.

The third piece was created last year, but I felt it would be fitting for this challenge. The little girl is my daughter when she was 3. She used to love to pretend she was a fairy princess, so I created this for her 16th birthday last year.

  1. Today was a real treat when you uploaded extra pieces of art for us to view. WOW...all of them are extraordinary and very creative. I had to laugh at "the Fawne" as it expresses exactly how we feel when winter gloom surrounds us. And then, the happy face of your daughter. This one put a big smile on my face! I could view this one every day for an uplift.

  2. All three of these are a treat to see! I love all the little fairies in the first one. Who needs starlight when you have fairies? The second one is both dramatic and exquisite. As for the third one, I hope it's alright if I sit on one of those toad stools. The little girl looks so happy sitting on hers.

  4. OMG Donna these are just wonderful!
How did you learn to do that girl in green? I have wanted to learn to do that for so long!
Bravo on all of our artwork. I so enjoy seeing what you do.

    1. Thanks, Patti! I've been learning 3D rendering for a little over a year now. I use mostly Daz Studio 4.6 Pro for my rendering as my issue of Poser is really old and I can't afford the newest version. Daz is a free program and I've used the free and paid tutorials as well as tips I've learned from the Daz community to learn how to render people, animals, and creatures. Here's the link if you're interested in downloading the program: http://www.daz3d.com.
